How do we store and secure personal information we collect?
RAFI utilizes a third-party donor database system hosted on the Salesforce.com platform. The donor database is hosted in a secure server environment that uses a firewall and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. Donor information is protected using both server authentication and data encryption, ensuring that your data is safe, secure, and available only to authorized users. Only authorized RAFI staff are provided access to the database via a unique user name and password that must be entered each time a user logs on to the database via industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
RAFI cannot guarantee the total security of information transmitted to us. Nevertheless, despite our best efforts, no transmission over the Internet and no data storage method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
