Wilson Farmers’ Market Program

Organization: Wilson Farmers’ Market
Project Coordinator: Billy Little
Location: Wilson, Wilson County, NC

The Wilson Farmers’ Market was organized in 2008 as a market opportunity for local growers and consumers. It is a market for growers to come together and offer consumers fresh local produce and local foods. It gives consumers a chance to purchase the products directly from the the grower who produced them.

The Wilson Farmers’ Market is a past recipient of a community grant which was used to expand the market shelter. Hoping to increase their customer base, the market staff plans to purchase billboard, radio, and newspaper space to advertise the market.
