Please Take Note: The eligible counties for our grant program have changed from year to year. If your county isn’t on the list this year, we still encourage you to learn about the program for a future year. Additionally, there are at least four grant programs serving farmers across North Carolina. If you attend the workshop, you can learn about other programs that may be available to you and ask questions. We will provide as much information about all the programs as we can. RAFI provides a variety of free services to farmers and cooperatives, so we encourage you to come meet our staff and find out what might be relevant to you. Eligible Counties for 2016 Grants:
Please join us for a workshop on November 4th from 7 to 8 pm to learn about our grant program for farmers and ag enterprises, the Agricultural Reinvestment Fund. We will have printed applications available at the workshop and will explain how to apply. Our grants are up to $8,000 for individual farmers and up to $10,000 for collaborative groups. Free copies of of RAFI’s farm finance and risk management guides and resources for farmers will also be available for all attendees. The workshop will be held in the auditorium of the Person County Cooperative Extension Center at 304 S Morgan St, Roxboro, NC. Farmers, ag entrepreneurs, and other agricultural businesses and community-based groups are encouraged to attend.
