The grant program is now 20+ years old and has provided more than 600 grants to farmers and collaborative agricultural enterprises, including cooperatives and farmers’ markets, across North Carolina. (Grants are currently only available to individuals and groups in NC.) The cost-share grants provide up to $9,000 for individual farmers and up to $11,000 for collaborative groups, which must include at least three eligible farmers, but may be led by other individuals or organizations. Farmers who participate in our grant program and take advantage of our resources and information have a proven track record of successful business endeavors. We encourage all eligible farmers to inquire about the program and consider applying.
