Food, Faith, and Justice: A Common Calling Wednesday, February 20th, 2013 from 8:30am-2:30pm The Enterprise Banquet and Conference Center | Winston-Salem, NC This conference is “a visionary gathering exploring the role of churches and faith communities in promoting health in the Piedmont Triad through improving access to healthy food for all.” Keynote speakers include two nationally-renowned food justice advocates: James Beard Award-winning Malik Yakini, who will speak about his work around urban farming in Detroit, and food hub entrepreneur Haile Johnston, who works to connect churches with farms and inner city food deserts in Philadelphia.
