Gayle Williams Bio

RAFI board and staff members were delighted to meet the newest member of the Board of Directors at the June Board Meeting. We welcome Gayle Williams and thank her and each of our board members for their insights and guidance.

 

 

Gayle is a leadership coach and facilitator with 30 years of experience in philanthropy and nonprofits. She served as Executive Director of the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation for almost 20 years and as a Program Director at the Lilly Endowment. Her work in philanthropy focused on social justice, educational equity, and community development.  Before entering philanthropy, her nonprofit work concentrated on youth development. Gayle currently coaches nonprofit and philanthropy leaders in transition and is temporarily the Interim Executive Director of Management Assistance Group, a nonprofit consulting firm. With Frontline Solutions, she co-designed and co-facilitated the Southeastern Council of Foundation’s inaugural Advanced Leadership Institute. She is a Courage and Renewal Facilitator and past chair of the Center for Courage and Renewal board. A native of NC, Gayle and her husband live near Winston-Salem, NC.
