Piedmont Conference Cancellation Announcement

Update!   The conference was rescheduled to take place on May 28, 2015.  Learn more here.
February 25th 2015 Due to the forecast of heavy snow and freezing rain over the next 24 hours, we have decided to cancel the Piedmont Region conference on February 26th as well as the ecumenical prayer service scheduled on February 25th. Our staff, the speakers, the caterer, the good folks at Elon Community church and many others have been faithfully preparing for this event for a long time, so it was not an easy decision for us cancel. However, in the interest of safety we believe it’s the right thing to do. The good news is that there is another opportunity to participate in the 2015 Come to the Table series, coming up very soon on March 19th in Sylva! You may transfer your conference registration to our Western NC event free of charge if you wish. Please notify us at cttt@rafiusa.org by March 1st of your intent so that we can plan accordingly. If you are unable to attend the Western NC event, we would be very grateful if you would allow us to consider your conference registration a donation to Come to the Table. We have incurred many expenses in preparing for this event that we will not be able to recoup. If you prefer to have your registration fee refunded, a written request for a refund must be submitted by Friday, March 6th to Elizabeth MacLachlan, Director of Finance, Rural Advancement Foundation International (RAFI), P.O. Box 640, Pittsboro, NC 27312. Only request made in writing will be refunded, we are unable to make electronic refunds back to credit or debit cards. Our planning team will convene as soon as possible to determine next steps for Come to the Table in the Piedmont, and will be back in touch to let you know if we are able to convene at a later date this year. Thank you for understanding. Please stay safe and warm! Our best, The Come to the Table Team
