Fracking_Shale_Basins_Triassic-NCOn April 5th, 2016, the Anson County Cooperative Extension Center will host an informational meeting and presentation from James Robinson, RAFI’s Research and Policy Associate, on gas leases and landowners’ mineral rights. Currently, James manages our fracking and landowner rights project, which provides a trusted source of information and educates citizens about their rights. James will give a presentation he developed with Dr. Ted Feitshans, an attorney and economist at North Carolina State University. The presentation will focus on three major topics: “the current state of hydraulic fracturing laws and regulations in North Carolina, how landowners can protect themselves from predatory oil and gas companies, and understanding landowner mineral rights.” Check out this recent news article in the Anson Record for more information about the event: http://ansonrecord.com/news/2349/speakers-to-explain-fracking-landowners-mineral-rights Please register for this event by calling 704-694-2415.
